中新网7月28日电 据外媒报道，当地时间28日，澳大利亚高尔夫协会表示，受新冠疫情影响，原定于2020年11月举办的澳大利亚公开赛已被推迟，目前正在考虑在2021年初举办。

据报道，澳大利亚高尔夫协会表示，原计划2020年晚些时候，在墨尔本金斯顿希思高尔夫俱乐部(Kingston)举办第105届赛事，但目前正在考虑于2021年初举办。

“对所有澳大利亚人来说，这是一个非常具有挑战性的时刻，全球疫情造成的不确定性，使得目前很难确定未来的日期。”澳大利亚高尔夫运营经理西蒙·布鲁克斯豪斯(Simon Brookhouse)在一份声明中说。

“我们希望今年夏天的澳大利亚公开赛仍旧能够进行，并将与……金斯顿希思高尔夫俱乐部合作，找到一个适合所有人的日期，” 布鲁克斯豪斯说。但他同时表示，“这可能等要到2021年1月到3月，因为还有很多变数在发挥作用。”

澳大利亚疫情近期出现反复。2020年7月27日，澳联邦政府副首席医疗官迈克尔·基德说，截至当天中午，澳大利亚过去24小时内新增新冠确诊病例549例，再创澳疫情暴发以来新高。新增病例中，532例来自澳当前疫情最严重的维多利亚州。
